Be Lean, Be Clean & Be Green – we have a responsibility to ensure that our buildings utilise sustainable resources and contribute to reducing CO2 consumption, through energy efficient design and generation of clean energy through renewable sources. We prioritise working with local supply chains; whether it be for local labour, bricks purchased from local suppliers, or the manufacture of windows at nearby factories.  

Our buildings are designed to maximise natural light and ventilation, with the use of full height windows and generous communal spaces. Jensco Student Living developments are in highly sustainable locations to encourage walking, cycling and use of local transport facilities.  

Health, safety and wellbeing of our residents and employees is paramount to everything we do at Jensco. We want all our residents to feel good, to reach their full potential during their stay with us.  By being an inclusive, welcoming, and friendly environment and supporting physical and mental health, we aim to nurture a community where everyone feels safe and comfortable.  

We have a strong focus on ‘community’ and student experience within a Jensco Student Living building, whether it be learning to cook with locally sourced produce, working out with friends and instructors in our gym, enjoying the delightful outside spaces, or just having friendly people to talk to and socialise with; our goal is for each of our residents to be happy, healthy and safe throughout their university ‘journey’.

We enhance and support wildlife and ecology too, helping to improve the CO2 balance within our cities. Our beautiful garden spaces and terraces provide ample opportunity for wildlife friendly planting. 

With a strategic goal to reduce waste, Jensco Student Living actively promotes recycling and has designated recycling and charity donation points within our buildings. Rather than subscribe to a ‘throw away culture’, we promote the re-use or resale of unwanted items and clothing. We distribute reusable water bottles to each of our residents to combat single use plastic. 

We provide staff and security within our buildings 24 hours a day so that everyone feels safe within their home. Student satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us and we engage with them to help us understand how each student feels about their stay with us.
